Graduate/Diploma in Design/Apparel merchandising, MBA-Marketing, NIFT (GMT/FD/Textile D&D), Pearl academy (IFTP), NIFT (AMMM) A detailed and informed awareness of national and international market, consumer and product trends work with the Buyers to develop commercial looks and themes appropriate to the department and brand. Studying national and international brands as well as forecasting websites. Studying past seasons of own label for performance. Customer focussed survey at the beginning of each season. Creating a detailed trend presentation for the team after analysis. Travel to various locations for sourcing of fabric and trims. Creating a line sheet of the range - which includes the styles, codes, price-points and colourways. Travel to and coordination with various vendors to develop the final range for presentation. Creating prints if required for brands. Development of final samples and presentations of the range in sync with the Buyer. Range presentation to the entire team. Modifying range in case of any comments. Creating tech packs for the vendor after comprehensive fit trials for all selected styles. Presentation of packaging/branding, wherever applicable. New brand concept ideas whenever applicable. Brand revamp ideas whenever applicable. Fit trials during season for each sample along with comments to be discussed with the QC. Integration with internal customers (Retail, Visual Merchandisers, Buyers, E-com, QA, Marketing) and external customers (consumer). Working on the brand imaging with marketing. Write-ups for various magazines both internal as well as external to describe the upcoming collections. Direction to the Visual Merchandising team on the seasons looks. A floor setup done along with the VM team to showcase the range and collection at the beginning of each season. Detailed Shoot concept presentation for the brand. Coordination with the marketing agency for all the relevant details like location, stylist, model and costs etc. Assistance in wardrobe co-ordination and styling during shoots for various areas. Training to retail personnel in terms of understanding and interpreting fashion and promotion of in-store labels. Visiting stores regularly to get feedback from the floor staff as well as attending to customers on floor for better brand understanding.
